All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Tom Jefferson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 13, 1972 Tom Jefferson dies; rites are today Tom Jefferson, 71, of Tallulah, died Tuesday night in a Delhi hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. this morning in the Crothers Funeral home chapel with Father Joe Montalbano officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery here. A native of New Madrid, Missouri, he had resided in Madison Parish for 54 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was also a Veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Survivors Include his widow, Mrs. Hattie Jefferson of Tallulah; one son, Tommy Jefferson of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ragasdale of Dumas, Arkansas; and one grandchild.
