All rights reserved. ************************************************ William Edward “Bill” Jenkins - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, February 23, 2006 DELTA - William Edward “Bill” Jenkins died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006. He was 83. Formerly of Vicksburg, Mr. Jenkins was a resident of Delta. He was born in Huntington, W.Va. He was employed at Hampton Heat & Air for 18 years and was a former employee of Twin City Pontiac in Monroe, La. He was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 until 1945. He was preceded in death by his father, Solomon David Jenkins; and his mother, Mary Louise White Curtis. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Retha Faye Jenkins of Delta; four sons, Warren David Jenkins and Jay Curtis Jenkins, both of West Monroe, William Preston Jenkins of Choudrant, La., and Mark Allen Jenkins of Wallingford, Ky.; four daughters, Cathy Rae Thomas of Bastrop, La., Terry Fuller of Delta, Karen Sealey of Butler, Ala., and Barbara Guzman of Vicksburg; and 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Choudrant. Burial will follow.
