All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Lula Mae Bennett Johnson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 25, 1995 Lula Mae Bennett Johnson died Thursday, Oct. 19, 1995, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was 85. Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 1995, at Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. O. B. Robertson and the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson was born in Quitman, La., and had lived in Tallulah for 48 years. She operated the Two Mile Inn and Grocery Store and was a housewife. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William J. Johnson of Tallulah; one son, Donald Wayne Bennett of Lake Charles; a half-sister, Irene Hopkins of Waterproof; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
