E. Johnson Rites Held On Last Friday Funeral services for Rhynie Eugene Johnson, 64, who died in a Baton Rouge hospital Wednesday of last week were held at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel last Friday at 10 a. m. with the Rev. William F. Mayo officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Johnson, whose home was in Alexandria, suffered a heart attack while at work with the W. H. Patterson Construction Company in Baton Rouge. He had been employed by the company for the past 23 years. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hazel Johnson, two sons, Ted Atkins of Santa Rosa, Calif., and John Norman of Alexandria; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Tanner of Flowers, Ky., and Mrs. Debois Dondro of Kansas; three stepsons, Robert U. McSwain and Earl McSwain, both of Alexandria, and Louis McSwain of Lake Johnson, Texas; three sister, Mrs. Alice Frazier, Greenville, Miss., Mrs. George Townsend and Mrs. Hattie Jefferson, both of Tallulah, and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Archie Fairbanks, Eugie Edmondson, C. E. Forrest, W. E. Bradley and Jack Xxxx.
