Jones - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 10, 1985 Graveside services for Gaines T. Jones, 52, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, with the Rev. O. B. Robertson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home, Tallulah. He died Friday in a Miami nursing home after a long illness. Mr. Jones was a native of Madison Parish and was a veteran of World War II and an air conditioner repairman. Survivors include one step-daughter, Mrs. Rose Cox of Miami, Fla.; four brothers, Huey Jones of Tacoma, Wash., William Jones of Lake Charles, George Jones of Baton Rouge and Henry Jones of Miami, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Juanita Jenkins of Tallulah, Mrs. Gertie Jordan and Mrs. Pauline Johnston, both of Ore City, Texas; four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Richard Marshall, Eddie Hattaway, Harold Bolton and Joe Jenkins.
