Jordan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 9, 1987 Funeral services for Mr. Walter W. Jordan, 70, were at 11 a.m. Friday at the Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. James Messer officiating. Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery in Crystal Springs, Ms. under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Jordan died last Tuesday at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson following a short illness. He was a native of Noxapater, Ms., a resident of Tallulah for 21 years, a retired sawman foreman and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florence Jordan of Tallulah; a son, Kenneth Jordan of Nashville, Tenn.: two daughters, Carolyn Pepper of Crystal Springs and Beth Cartwright of Lovington, New Mexico; three brothers, Howard Jordan of Phoenix, Ariz., Robert Jordan of Eupora, Ms. and Jack Jordan of Louisiana; four sisters, Doris Thrasher of Saugus, Ca., Mary Woods of Louisville, Ky., Gladys Suttles of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Dorothy Jordan of Arizona; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Cecil Wells, Jeff Jordan, Greg Phillips, Floyd Parson, Tracy Weems and Malcolm Darnell. Honorary pallbearers were Brent Silman and Alfred Newman.
