A. Josey Funeral services were held Tuesday of this week for Maurice Auborn Josey, 41, who died Monday after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Josey had been a resident of Tallulah for the past nine years. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and a member of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe, He was a native of Monroe. Services were held in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Watson officiating. Burial followed in the Heasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow, Sybil Josey, Tallulah; one son, "Bo" Josey, Tallulah; his father, C. C. Josey, West Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Bigger, West Monroe; and Dorris Crell, California; four brothers, Son Josey, and Horace Josey, both of West Monroe; Bob Josey, Houma; and Bill Josey, Shreveport. Pallbearers were A. N. Duke, LaRue Harmon, R. L. Reynolds, Joe Reynolds, Archie Fairbanks and W. A. Logue.
