Keith - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Scranton (PA) Times-Tribune September 19, 2007 Howard E. Keith, 77, a resident of Madison Township, died Monday in the Mercy Hospice Unit after a lengthy illness. His wife of 25 years is the former Florence Laird. Born in Tallulah, La., son of the late Melvin Keith and Annie Viola Bailey Keith Hutchinson, he was raised in Mississippi. An Army veteran, he served his country during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for 49 years and retired from Roadway, Tannersville, in 1992. Also surviving are a daughter, Wanda Stack and husband, Jack, Ocala, Fla.; three sons, Glenn Keith and wife, Sandra, Green Bay, Wis.; Howard Keith and wife, Cynthia, Texas; and Steven Keith and wife, Carin, Maryland; two stepdaughters, Sue Bomarito and husband, Edward, East Stroudsburg; and Cyndi Smith and husband, Mark, Effort; two stepsons, James Botke and wife, Beth, East Stroudsburg; and Michael Botke, Madison Township; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Keith, on May 26. Graveside services will be Oct. 5 in Mizpah Cemetery, Durant, Miss. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, Route 690 and First Street, Spring Brook Township. Published in the Scranton Times on 9/19/2007.
