W. A. Kellar Dies In Sleep From Apoplexy

W. A. Kellar, 57, a farmer of the Thomastown community, east of Tallulah, died while asleep at his
home Saturday night from a stroke of apoplexy.

Mr. Kellar has been a resident of Madison parish since 1912, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
When he first came to Madison parish, he accepted a position as saw filer at the saw mill which
operated for many years at Mound. After the mill closed down, he purchased a place in that community
and had resided on this place since. At the time of his death he was a candidate for the Police Jury
of his ward.

Funeral services took place at the home of his son, J. C. Kellar in Tallulah Monday afternoon, with
the Rev. Joe Priestly of Vicksburg, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. L. A. Materne, pastor of
the Tallulah Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Kellar is survived by his widow; two sons, J. C. and R. L. Kellar, and a daughter, Mrs. R. P. Grimes
all of Tallulah.

The pallbearers were Richard Almond, S. B. Thigpen, R. L. Farr, Albert Kirsch, J. H. Renfrow and
Tom Foster.
