All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Nathaniel Lancaster (Lank) Kell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 22, 1970 Lancaster Kell rites held Nathaniel Lancaster (Lank) Kell, 68, prominent planter and former Police juror, died early Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Vicksburg following a long illness. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Joseph Harrison officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. A native of Madison Parish, Mr. Kell had previously served for eight years on the Police Jury. He had been an employee of the Standard Oil Co. in Baton Rouge for 20 years. A graduate of Louisiana State University, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Thomas Kell of Tallulah; two sisters, Miss Cornelia Kell of Tallulah and Mrs. Elizabeth Kell of New Orleans; and one niece, Mrs. Charles Morris of Little Rock, Ark. Pallbearers were Bob Laird, Barry Mitchell, King Trieschmann, Richard Kent, William DeMoss, Edgar Lancaster, Jr., Harvey Mounger and John Frank Olvey.
