Kelly - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal September 12, 1930 ALLEN B. KELLY WAS BURIED WEDNESDAY Allen B. Kelly, age 47, local resident, was buried at the Silver Cross Cemetery here with Masonic honors Wednesday morning. J. L. Cason conducted the Masonic rites. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at 10:00 A. M., with Rev. W. H. Giles, pastor, officiating. Deceased had a wide acquaintance throughout the Parish where he has resided with his family for several years. Mr. Kelly was proprietor of the Pastime Recreation Hall. At the time that he became ill, was enjoying a vacation in El Paso, Texas, and it was from there that he was carried to his home here and later to Vicksburg for treatment. He died Monday morning after arriving in the Mississippi city Sunday. Mrs. E. W. Hanchey and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Williams, of El Paso, Texas, and Prentiss Ogden of Monroe, attended the funeral Wednesday and returned to their home Thursday. Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, three daughters, Fannie Mae, Edna Mae and Sadie Mae; and two sons, Allen and Biby.
