A service will held on Saturday the 22nd of October, 10:30am at St. Columb's Episcopal Church, 550 Sunnybrook Road, in Ridgeland, MS. The family will receive visitors in the Parish hall from 9:30 - 10:30am. Sallye was born November 12, 1920 in Sondheimer, LA to Dr. Berry Chapman Abernathy and Grace Gaines Abernathy. She graduated from High School in Tallulah, LA. After graduation she worked in a variety of different capacities including professional dance. She eventually retired from Deposit Guaranty Bank in Jackson. Dance was a passion throughout her life especially sharing the gift as a dance instructor. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is the last of the 7 Abernathy children to die. Sallye is survived by her daughter Judy McAllister, son William C. Keyes, granddaughter Heather Keyes Livingston and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to St. Columb's Episcopal Church or your favorite charity.
