All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Pete King - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 4, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. Pete King, 73, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Ramon Warren and Rev. Rocki Proffitt officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. King died Monday at ParkView Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg. Mr. King was born in Mound and had been a lifelong resident of Madison Parish. He was a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Public Works, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post No. 100. Survivors include his wife, Donie Rylie King of Tallulah; two stepdaughters, Ora Belle Cole of Sommerville, Tenn. and Betty Lou Nixon of Vicksburg; one sister, Josephine King Shields of Tallulah; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ernest Williams, Ira Foster, Bobby Foster, Bobby Ray Parker, R. B. Nixon and Danny Cole. Honorary pallbearers were Cliff C. Adams and Louis Tonore Sr.
