All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Bessie Leota Knapp - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 19, 1992 Funeral services for Miss Bessie Leota Knapp, 91, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery. Miss Knapp was born in Red Oak, Iowa and attended Ames Teachers College in Ames, Iowa. She taught school in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She moved to Tallulah with her parents in 1940, later moving to Vicksburg, where she was employed for a number of years with the R. J. LeTourneau Company. She served many years as administrative officer for the Vicksburg Little Theatre. Survivors include a number of cousins, Mabel Powell Gilmer of Red Oak, Mildred Powell of Denver, Colo., Funtella Ebert Quintana of Colorado Springs, Colo., Dorothy Ebert Carson of Ridgecrest, Calif., Nolene Ebert McLeod of West Memphis, Ark., Betty Ebert Lochbrunner of Paris, Tex., Mellissa Ebert Winters of Garland, Tex., Harlan Ebert Jr. of Red Oak and Charlotte Ebert Palmquist of Stanton, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Phillip Lochbrunner, Tom Lochbrunner, Jon Burchardt, Clem Dahlhauser; Billy Hebler and George Williams.
