All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Leonard "Crayton" Laughman, Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 8, 1998 Funeral services for Leonard "Crayton" Laughman, Sr., age 74, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, at the Presbyterian Church, Tallulah, with the Rev. John Rushing Jr. and the Rev. Lauren Moore officiating. An Honor Guard ceremony followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Laughman died Wednesday, April 1, 1998, after a lengthy illness. He was born in New Orleans, La., and had lived in Tallulah since 1945. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Tallulah, where he once served as elder. He was a retired U.S. Postal Clerk. Mr. Laughman was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret West Laughman, his parents, L. D. and Sarah Laughman, and sisters Joey Wilson and Betty Smith. Survivors include a son, Len Laughman of Tallulah; two daughters, Bridget Scott of Tallulah and Belinda Stroud of Vicksburg, Miss.; a sister, Gretchen Miller of Pass Christian, Miss.; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe Joe Foster, Charlie Simpkins, Bill Williams, Clyne Elledge, Hollis Ervin and John Burchardt. Honorary pallbearers were former co-workers of the U.S. Post Office, Tallulah, La. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
