L. Lewis Funeral services for Oscar Earl Lewis, 71, who died Monday in Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness was held Tuesday at 4p.m. Services were conducted in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. J. H. Hamilton and J. D. Walters of Waverly officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Future Lewis of Tallulah; a son, Ed Lewis of Tallulah; a daughter, Mrs. Billy Sanders, Port Gibson, Miss.; three brothers, Terrill Lewis and George Lewis, both of Waverly and Floyd Lewis of Natchez, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. R. B. Tate of Waverly, Mrs. Clyde B. Adams, of Rayville, Mrs. Earnest Kastorff of Indianola, Miss., and Miss Viola Lewis of Shreveport; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Howard Carney, Perry Williams, Robert Brown, Floyd Spells, H. S. Keyes and Eddie Easley.
