Logue, Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 1, 1957 Funeral Service For H. J. Logue Held Wednesday Hicks J. Logue, Sr., 49, died Tuesday morning in a Vicksburg hospital after an illness of three weeks. Born in Vicksburg, Mr. Logue lived in Vicksburg until nine years ago when he and his family moved to Tallulah to make their home. He was in the dairy business. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Ervin Logue; a son, Hicks J. Logue, Jr., two grandchildren, Jacqueline Logue and Michael Wayne Logue, all of Tallulah; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie O. Logue, Sr., seven sisters, Mrs. A. L. Hoxie, Sr., Mrs. R. D. Alford, Mrs. R. C. Hoseman, Mrs. Albert Paxton, Mrs. Jack Harper, all of Vicksburg ; Mrs. Frank Knox of Tallulah, and Mrs. J. L. Noble, Jr., of Edwards, Miss.; five brothers, Otto Logue, Sr., and Dorsey Logue, both of Vicksburg, A. O. Logue, Jr., F. M. Logue and W. A. Logue, all of Tallulah. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. William F. Mansell of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Cemetery in Vicksburg. Pallbearers were R. J. Henley, John Mack, Herbert Boler, all of Vicksburg; P. F. Hargon, Stuart Moberley and George Eggleston, all of Tallulah. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Hugh Johnston, Dr. J. A. K. Birchett, W. J. Foley, Alex Rowland, J. F. Riley, Dr. H. H. Emerick, E. A. Finane, Jr., Michael Franco, Allen Lum, Norman Nasif, R. D. O'Connor all of Vicksburg, J. P. Hamilton of Jackson, Miss.; D. D. Wood and Billy Grace of Tallulah.
