Long - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 11, 1958 Services For Robert Long Held Monday Funeral services for Robert G. Long, who died at his home Saturday, were held Monday afternoon at the Tallulah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Earl Wiggins and Rev. D. L. O'Neal officiating. Mr. Long was superintendent of maintenance for the Louisiana Fifth District Levee Board. He was 61. Mr. Long was an elder in the Presbyterian Church, a member of the Tallulah Masonic Lodge No. 308, a Royal Arch Mason and a Knights of Templar. He was a veteran of World I and a member of Scott-Nicols-Voak Post No. 100, American Legion. Interment was held in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Long; two brothers, the Rev. Dan G Long, Rock Island, Ill., and A. G. Long, Niagara Falls, N. Y.; a sister, Mrs. N. A. Miller of Brevard, N. C'., and a step daughter, Mrs. Monette Craig Russell of Tallulah. Pallbearers were H. C. Sevier, Jr., Howard Sevier, A. L. Sevier, Jr., Warren Sevier, Jim Sevier, Ralph Loe, D. H. Ratcliff of Newellton and Fred Outlaw of St. Joseph. Honorary pallbearers were A. L. Sevier, Sr., H. C. Sevier, Sr., J. E. Neill, Sr., H. W. Lee, Dr. George Webb, Members of the Fifth Louisiana Levee Board, and all Elders and Deacons of the Presbyterian Church.
