John Henry "Papa John" Lowery, age 64, of Panama City Beach, Fla., went to be with our Lord on Dec. 7, 2012 due to cancer at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. Papa John was born on May 14, 1948, in Tallulah, La. He served his country from 1968 to 1970 as an active member in the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam. His past employers included Cox Pools of Panama City Beach, Mega Materials of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Perelli of Georgia. John is survived by his mother, Betty Roberts and Leonard Boreham of Panama City, Fla.; a niece, Carol Francis (Charlie Francis) of Panama City; two daughters, Lisa Jo London and Crystal Jones, both of Panama City; and several other friends and family. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at North Bay Chapel, 3733 Hwy. 2321, South Port, Florida, with Pastor Tom Toole officiating.
