Manale - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 16, 1978 Funeral services for a former Tallulah woman, Mrs. Bernice C. Manale, 67, of Hammond, were held March 8 at the St. Joseph Church in Ponchatoula. Mrs. Manale died March 6 at Seventh Ward Hospital after a brief illness. Burial was in the Ponchatoula Cemetery under the direction of Xxxx Funeral Home. Mrs. Manale was a Western Union operator in Tallulah for several years before she moved to Hammond. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. Survivors include her widower John A. Manale of Hammond; a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Manale Melancon of Covington; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Cowen Prudhomme of Crowley, and Mrs. Evelyn Cown Dillion and Miss Dorothy R. Cowen, both of New Orleans, and four grandchildren.
