FLORENCE VAN ZELFDEN MARCUS Mrs. Florence Van Zelfden Marcus died on July 1 at Glen Mary Plantation at the home of her brother, Mr. C. Van Zelfden. Mr. and Mrs. Marcus have been running a dairy farm on Crescent Plantation owned by Mr. C W. Patterson. She had her tonsils removed several weeks ago from which she had not completely recovered, During the latter part of last week she took a turn for the worse and was then taken to Glen Mary Plantation, where her death occurred Monday. She was a native of Herrjansdam, Holland, and had been in this country six years, all of which time had been spent in Madison Parish. She is survived by her brothers, her husband and two children. The burial took place in the Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. W. Rickey, pastor of the Methodist Church of Tallulah.
