All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Mrs. Steve Marine - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 10, 1936 Mrs. Marine Ill For Short Time Dies Here Mon. Mrs. Steve Marine, 42, a native of Illinois, but a resident of Tallulah for a number of years, died at her home here Monday night after a short illness. Her death was due to influenza and heart trouble. Funeral services were held at the Tallulah Baptist Church Wednesday morning with the Rev. L. A. Materne officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Marine's only survivor is her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Marine have operated a meat market and restaurant in Tallulah for a number of years and she was known among many for her charitable disposition. It is said of her that she fed many a hungry person in her restaurant and that at times it was known that some whom she knew to be deserving were provided with clothing and other necessities of life by her. Those who knew her stated that at times she had purchased such articles for many people.
