All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Faye Martin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 22, 1959 Services Held Monday For Mrs. Faye Martin Funeral services were held Monday at 9:45 A. M. from the Crothers Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Faye Martin, 30, who died early Sunday after an illness of several years. Rev. William F. Mayo officiated. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery with Eastern Star rites at the grave. Mrs. Martin was a native of Silverena, Miss., and had been living in Tallulah sixteen years. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and before her illness, had done extensive work with the Girl Scouts. She is survived by her husband, James Martin; two daughters, Barbara and Beverly Ann; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Thornton, all of Tallulah; one sister, Beth Thornton of Bay Springs, Miss., and one brother, George Thornton of Hammond, La. Pallbearers were Charles Arneson, Charles Brown, Gaines Byram, Bud Malone, Cliff Erwin, Jimmy Rogan, Carl Griffin and J. C. Davis.
