All rights reserved. ************************************************ James Chaffin “Boss” Martin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, September 28, 2006 TALLULAH - Services for James Chaffin “Boss” Martin will be at 3 today at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, La. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Martin died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at his home in Tallulah. He was 77. Mr. Martin was born in Ida, La. He retired from Louisiana State Police after 21 years as an officer. He worked for the concrete and construction business for many years. He served as pastmaster for Tallulah Lodge No. 308 and a 32nd-degree Shriner. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Faye Bartholomew and Teresa Gunter, both of Tallulah, and Beverly Ann Whitehead of Shreveport; three sons, Michael Martin of Austin, Texas, Regan Martin and Ray Martin, both of Monroe; two sisters, Elsie Harris and Virginia Holloway, both of Dallas; a brother, John Earl Martin of Tallulah; and 10 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
