"Marty" Martin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe NewsStar February 16, 2009 West Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mr. R. L. "Marty" Martin, 74, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens. Mr. Martin was a graduate of Tallulah High School and was once a classmate of Conway Twitty. Marty retired from the United States Army attaining the rank of Sgt. 1st Class, serving three tours during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He later worked and retired from the Express Mail Department with the US Postal Service. He is survived by his sons, Michael A. Morrow and wife, Jennifer of Bastrop, LA and David T. Morrow and wife, Angela of Ruston, LA; six grandchildren, Allan Morrow and wife, Shannon, Adam Morrow and wife, Rebekah, Devan Morrow, Dillon McDowell, Somer Courson, and Farrah McDowell; and two great grandsons, Connor Aidan Morrow and Dalton Bullen. Pallbearers will be James Masters, Allan Morrow, Adam Morrow, Dillon McDowell, Lonnie Blades, and Kip Mashaw. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Auttonberry. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Memorials may be made to the Northeast Louisiana Veteran's Home.
