Matherne - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 5, 1997 Funeral services for Mrs. Ondine E. Matherne, age 90, were Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac, La. Intombment followed at the Mausoleum, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Matherne died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, in the Summit Hospital in West Monroe after a brief illness. She was born in Labadieville, La., and had lived in Vicksburg most of her life. She had been a resident at the Delta Haven Nursing Home in Tallulah for the past 10 years. She was a housewife and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include one son, Paul R. "Dickie" Matherne of Newark, Ill.; one daughter, Joyce Welch of Fairhope, Ala.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements.
