All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Louise Mathis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 18, 1990 Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Mathis, 62, were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ebie McGee and Rev. Nathan Henderson officiating. Burial was in the Herringville Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello under direction of Crothers. Mrs. Mathis died Thursday at her home in Hunter Heights following a lengthy illness. She was born in Arcadia and had lived in Madison Parish for 32 years. She was a retired employee of Westinghouse where she had worked for 30 years. She was a member of the Mound Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert Mathis of Hunter Heights; three sons, Chief Master Sgt. Charles Mathis of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Cleve Mathis and Marlin Mathis, both of Tallulah; four daughters, Patricia Goings, Lillian Simms and Sallie Munn, all of Tallulah and Betty Jo Young of Raymond, Miss.; four brothers, Emmett Mathews of Epps, Otis Mathews of Monticello, James Mathews and Woodrow Mathews, both of Akron, Ohio; one sister, Beatrice Hendricks of Marion; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
