All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Alma Maxwell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 9, 1981 Services for Miss Alma Maxwell were held Monday in Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Joel Treadwell officiating. Burial was in the Vicksburg City Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Miss Maxwell died July 1 in her Tallulah home after a long illness. She was born at Locust Grove Plantation in Mound and has been a resident of Madison Parish all her life. She was a retired social worker for the Louisiana Welfare Department, a past chairman of the Tallulah chapter of the Cancer Society, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was active in the Trinity Guild, the Altar Guild and the annual Trinity bazaar. Survivors include two nephews, six nieces and a number of great-nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jack Millikin, Carneal Woodyear, Bill Yerger Jr., Jimmy Federick, Dr. L. P. Neumann, Mike Ingram, Kenneth Pearl, Ed Yerger Jr. and Rufus Yerger Jr. The family requests that memorials be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.
