All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ James Erwin Maxwell Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post October 26, 2007 TALLULAH -- Services for James Erwin Maxwell Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Jean Foreman officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Maxwell died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. He was 75. Born in Monticello, Ark., he had lived in Tallulah for 40 years. He was a retired forester and biology teacher. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a Boy Scout leader of Troop No. 55. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he served as men's Sunday school teacher. He is survived by his wife, Faye Harvey Maxwell of Tallulah; two sons, James E. Maxwell Jr. of Monroe and Jonathan O. Hoffman of Tallulah; five daughters, Cynthia Holloway of Dallas, Evelyn Boyd of Renton, Wash., and Lisa Mays, Lydia Smith and Leslie Furello, all of Tallulah; a brother, Richard Maxwell of Malvern, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
