McCarty - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 17, 1980 Funeral services for Emma C. McCarty were Monday in Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Lester Xxxxxn officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. McCarty died Saturday in Delta Haven Nursing Home in Tallulah after a long illness. She was a native of Richland Parish and lived in Tallulah for 32 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include five sons, Walter McCarty of Tallulah, James McCarty of Delhi; Marvin McCarty of Pearsall, Texas, Billy Ray McCarty of Wilmington, N.C., and Buford McCarty of Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Beard of Tallulah; a brother, Howard Whitaker of Rayville; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Danny Beard, Bud Taylor, Jack Taylor, Mack McCarty, Jimmy Hutto and Ross Murphy.
