CoItharp, in Madison parish, La, Saturday, April 1st, 1893, Mr. Samuel McClellan, aged 84 years passed away. Four children survive him, J. T. McClellan, Miss Cora McClellan, Mrs. Coltharp and Mrs. Rebekah Harvey. The deceased, who was born and reared in Ohio, came to Claiborne county about sixty years ago. He married and settled near Rocky Springs, and lived there until ten or twelve years ago, when he removed to Louisiana. He was a good man in every sense of the word, and was universally esteemed for his sterling qualities. For many years he had been an active member of the Methodist church.
