All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Smila Clevenger McCready - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star February 25, 1942 TALLULAH, Feb. 25. - (Special) - Mrs. William E. McCready, 50, a resident of Tallulah for the past 22 years, died at the Vicksburg hospital Tuesday. She was a native of Shawneetown, Ill., and had resided in Missouri and Dermott, Ark., before coming to Tallulah. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church here Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Henry A. Rickey, pastor of the church officiating. Interment will be in Silver Cross cemetery here under the direction of Williams Funeral home. Mrs. McCready is survived by two sons, A. J. McCready of Tallulah and W. F. McCready of the United States navy reserve, and two daughters, Mrs. H. D. Worthy of Tallulah, and Mrs. T. W. Jones, and six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Emma Smith, and two brothers, Otto Clevenger, and Ulysses S. Clevenger of Shawneetown, Ill.
