Funeral services for Mrs. Katie McGill, 72, of Port Arthur, Texas were held here Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Hermon Savoie officiated. Mrs. McGill died last Saturday night at home in Port Arthur after a long illness. A native of Rocky Springs, Miss., she had lived in Texas for 34 years. She was a member of the Proctor Street Baptist Church. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Mandy McGill and Mrs. Fred Finley, both of Tallulah; one son, Charles Whitaker, Tallulah; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Welch, Tech Fondren, J. I. Bergerson, Billy Couch, Richard Marshall and ????.
