All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Shellie Marguerite McKnight - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 22, 1994 Funeral services for Shellie Marguerite McKnight, 19, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the First Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Revs. Lillard Bevels, John Rushing and Grady Bailey officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Miss McKnight died in a fall Sunday, June 19, in Memphis, Tenn. She was born in Delhi and lived in Tallulah for her elementary and junior high years. She attended the Mississippi School of Math and Science on the campus of the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Miss. She attended the University of Memphis as an Honors student majoring in music and law. She was a member of the sorority of Pi Beta Phi. Survivors include her father, Hoyt C. McKnight Jr. of Starkville, Miss.; her mother, Judy M. McKnight of Tallulah; three sisters, Stephanie L. McKnight of Tallulah, Michelle L. McKnight of Tallulah and Keely M. McKnight of Tallulah; her maternal grandmother, Nola McDonald of Tallulah; grandfather and step grandmother, David and Billie McDonald Sr. of Grove, Texas; and her paternal grandparents, Ruth and Clinton McKnight Sr. of Delhi. Pallbearers were Mike Gibbens Clayton Hopper, Jim McDonald, David McDonald and Henry Grady. Honorary pallbearers were her Pi Beta Phi sorority sisters.
