Meadows - Madison Parish, Louisiana From The Monroe News-Star (LA), Thursday, November 7, 1963 TALLULAH (Special) - Funeral services for Edwin [sic Erwin] G. Meadows, 78 [sic 70], of Tallulah, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in Crother's Funeral Chapel here with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial was to be at Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Meadows had played professional baseball in his early adult years. At the time of his death he was a retired painting contractor. A native of Danville, Ark., Mr. Meadows died in a Lake Providence nursing home Wednesday morning after a long illness. Surviving are two sons, Maurice Meadows, Memphis, Tenn., and Myles [sic Miles] Meadows, Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Coy Meadows, Houston, Tex.; and five grandchildren.
