Mejias - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 15, 1977 Funeral services for Miss Lupe P. Mejias, 33, of Lake Providence were held Saturday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with Father Thomas Delaney officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery here. Mrs. Mejias died Thursday in E. Conway Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was a native of Texas and had lived in Lake Providence for a year and a half. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Emanus of Lake Providence; her mother, Mrs. Clemencia Mejias of Tallulah; four brothers, Juan Mejias and Sam Mejias, both of Delhi, and Fernando Mejias and Pete Mejias, both of Tallulah; three sisters, Miss Mary Mejias and Miss Santo Pesina, both of Tallulah and Mrs. Clara Hernandez of Vicksburg, Miss.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
