All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Margaret Elizabeth Metcalfe - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 22, 1990 Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Metcalfe, 73, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Shields and Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Metcalfe died Saturday at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was a native of Tensas Parish and had lived in Tallulah for 41 years. She was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include five daughters, Nancy Byrd of Baton Rouge, Peggy Livingston of Monroe, "Bit" Avery of Jonesboro, Linda Williamson of Tallulah and Yvonne Ballard of Raymond, Miss.; three brothers, Dick McDaniel and Amos McDaniel, both of Newellton and Meyer Armstrong of Beaufort, S.C.; 10 sisters, Dolly Privett of Pineville, Clarice Williams and Sally Adams, both of Newellton, Elsie Ruth Kelley of Alto, Katherine O'Deal Dodds of Livingston, Tex., Joyce Felter and Shirley Floyd, both of Natchez, Miss., Dixie Williams of Arnold, Md., Ina Foster of West Monroe and Carol Cannon of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Goss, Ross Murphy, Cecil Wells, Robert Speed, Darrin McDaniel and Emmett Adams.
