N. Miller Interment of Mrs. Richard N. Miller, the former Miss Barbara Smitha, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Smitha of Tallulah, was held here with graveside services conducted by the Rev. Wm. Parkerson of Trinity Episcopal Church, of which Mrs. Miller was a member during her life in Tallulah. Mrs. Miller died Saturday morning, December 3rd at her home in Mount Pleasant, Texas, after being taken ill early the evening before. Funeral services were held in Mount Pleasant, where Mr. and Mrs. Miller have made their home for many years, by the Episcopal minister, the Rev. Mr. Riggs. The remains were accompanied to Tallulah by her family and relatives and friends, and Mrs. Miller had many friends here, in whom she was always interested, and often visited upon her return trips. She was born in Natchez, Miss. seventy-one years ago. The family came to Tallulah to make their home about 1905. She is survived by a devoted family, her husband, R. N. Miller, a daughter, Mrs. William M. Spengler of Houston, Texas, three grandchildren, Richard Miller Spengler, William Murphy Spengler and Barbara Elizabeth Spengler, two sisters, Mrs. Carl Nadler of St. Emma Plantation, Donaldsonville, La., and Mrs. Jack Springer of Truman, Ark.
