Oct. 7-Funeral services for E. S Moberley, leading planter and former member of the Madison Parish police jury who died at his home here Saturday after a lingering illness, will be held from the Tallulah Methodist church this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The deceased was born in Windsor, Ill, Oct. 27, 1894 and moved to Madison parish when he was 12 years old. He had since lived here. He was president of the Madison Parish Farmers Club at the time of his death. Mr. Moberley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Thompson Moberley, two children, Stuart, Jr., and Jean, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Moberley, one sister, Miss Hazle Jean Moberley of Tallulah, and a brother, Dean Moberley of Philadelphia. From Madison Journal October 11, 1935 E. S. MOBERLEY DIES HERE AFTER BEING LONG ILL Was Former Member of the Police Jury of This Parish E. Stuart Moberley, former member of the Madison Parish Police Jury, and a planter of this parish, died at his home about three miles south of Tallulah Saturday evening at 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Moberley was born in Windsor, Ill., on October 21, 1896, and at the time of his death was nearly thirty-nine years of age. He spent his childhood in Windsor and came to this parish with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Moberley in 1911. He was graduated here from the Tallulah High School and in 1918 graduated at the University of Illinois; he has been associated with his father's planting interest south of Tallulah. Mr. Moberley suffered a long illness lasting about fifteen months. He was a former member of the Madison Parish Police Jury, having resigned several months ago when his health began to fail. Before his illness he was active in the work of the Madison Parish Farmers' Club and served as president for two years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a member of the Board of Stewards. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Methodist Church and burial took place in the Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, with the Rev. W. H. Giles of Bastrop and the Rev. C. K. Smith officiating. Mr. Moberley is survived by his widow; two children, Stuart, Jr., and Jean; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Moberley; a sister, Miss Hazel Jean Moberley of Tallulah; and a brother, Dean Moberley of Philadelphia. The pallbearers were Jas. R. Linton, Dr. J. R. Medlin, J. E. Neill, Henry C. Sevier, W. B. Williams and R. A. Tate.
