Moberley Madison Parish, LA From Vicksburg Post, December 28, 1939 TALLULAH, LA. Dec. 28 -(Special)-James A. Moberley, 82, prominent planter and land owner, died in Vicksburg sanitarium Thursday morning At 6 O'clock. He was born in Illinois and has lived at his plantation home three miles south of Tallulah since 1911. He is survived by a son, D. L. Moberley, a daughter, Miss Hazel Jeanne Moberley and four grandchildren, all of Tallulah, two brothers Fred, of Shelbyville, Ill. and John of Mattoon, Ill., and a sister Mrs. Tom Shaffer of Chattanooga, 0kla. Funeral services will take place at the Methodist Church Friday at 2 pm, Rev. D. W. Poole officiating.
