Moffett - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 6, 1988 Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby L. Moffett, 67, were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Moffett died Thursday at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi after a long illness. A native of Wisner, Mrs. Moffett had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 38 years. She was a retired lunchroom employee of the Madison Parish School System, a homemaker and a member of the Montrose Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Winston Moffett of Tallulah: one son, Jerry W. Moffett of Bogalusa: one daughter, Janet Marie Powell of Birmingham. Ala.: eight brothers, Robert Melton Jr., M. L. Melton and Mickey Melton, all of Tallulah, Willie Melton, Bill Melton and Leonard Melton, all of Corvallis, Oregon, Pat Melton of Medford, Oregon, and Marzell Melton of Vidalia: two sisters. Belle Roberson and Ann Davis, both of Tallulah; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles Roney, Charles Roberson, Ronald Melton, Mike Melton, Jack Melton and William Moffett. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Moffett, Kevin Moffett and Len Melton.
