MINNIE D. MONETTE DIES IN SHREVEPORT, LA. Mrs. Minnie Dorah Monette, former resident of Tallulah, died in Shreveport on Friday, June 5. For a time while residing here she owned and operated Hotel Monette which is now known as Hotel Shepherd. Mrs. Monette was 71 years old and was at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. F. Brakefield when she died. Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Episcopal church at Shreveport. She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Mrs. E. F. Brakefield of Shreveport, J. D. Monette of Jackson, Miss., and Arthur C. Monette of Baton Rouge; and two step-daughters, Mrs. W. S. Craig and Mrs. G. H. Ogbourne, both of Tallulah.
