Monsell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 13, 1995 Memorial services for Dr. John M. Monsell will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. J. Fulton McGraw officiating. Dr. Monsell died of a gunshot wound Saturday, Sept. 9, 1995, at his home near Tallulah. He was 75. He was born in Shreveport and lived in the Madison-Tensas area for 68 years. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University and received his licenses to practice veterinary medicine in 1935. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his brother Charles F. Monsell of Hawaii; five nieces and two nephews. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or the American Cancer Society.
