All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************* John William “Jake” Moore - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, October 8, 2011 TALLULAH — John William “Jake” Moore of Transylvania, La., died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at West Carroll Hospital in Oak Grove, La. He was 67. Mr. Moore was born in Mound, La., and had lived many years in East Carroll Parish. He was a retired towboat engineer. He is survived by three sons, Joseph “Joey” Rushing of Start, La., and James Michael “Jimmy” Rushing and Jeff Rushing, both of West Monroe; one brother, Joe Moore of St. Amant, La.; four sisters, Edith Hyde of Transylvania, Millie Rush of St. Amant, Carlene Wallace of Vicksburg and Barbara Purvis of Cave City, Ark. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Revs. Allan Jordan and Terry Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
