Moore - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 19, 1972 James Moore dies; rites held Tuesday Funeral services for James W. Moore, 81, of Tallulah were at 4 p. m. Tuesday at Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. H. David Corley officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Moore died in Madison Parish Hospital Monday after a long illness. He was a native of Phillips County in Arkansas and had been a resident of Madison Parish for 37 years. He was a former employee of the Chicago Mill & Lumber Co., a member of the Methodist Church and honorary member of the administrative board of the church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Emma Moore of Tallulah; one son, Gene Moore of Milton, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Burchardt of Tallulah, and Mrs. Pauline Bastian of Aberdeen, S. D.; one brother, Owen O. Moore of Marianna, Ark.; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Harold Davis, Harry Placke, Barton Sevier, Don Belot, Manfred Gustafson and Maurice Ursery.
