All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Fred Morgan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 12, 1963 Fred Morgan Killed In Wreck Monday Night Fred Morgan, father of three children, and a resident of an area south of Quebec in this parish was killed in a car wreck on Highway 190 in West Baton Rouge Parish four miles west of the state weighing scales. The accident occurred shortly before midnight. Mr. Morgan had left Tallulah about 1 p. m. Monday on a business trip. State police at troop A Baton Rouge reported that Morgan, lone occupant of the auto, plowed into the rear of a wrecker driven by Seymore Carpenter, negro of Baton Rouge. Survivors are his widow. Mrs. Lela Morgan, of Route 3, Tallulah, three children, Randy, 15, Kathryn 13, and Fred, Jr., 10; five brothers, Floyd, of Monroe, Clifton and Eugene, of Quebec, in Madison Parish, Chester and Milton, of Bonita; 4 sisters, Mrs. Andrew Veazey, of Gonzales, Mrs. H. N. Brouilette, ????. The Morgan brothers had been engaged in rice farming in Madison Parish several miles out of Quebec for a number of years.
