Nelson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 9, 1975 Funeral services for Archie V. Nelson, of Tallulah were held at 4 p.m. in the Silver Cross Cemetery, Rev. Ned Stout officiating. Burial was under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Nelson died Tuesday morning in Delta Haven Nursing Home here after an illness. A native of Prentiss, Miss., Mr. Nelson had resided in Madison Parish for 54 years. Before his retirement, Mr. Nelson was a brick mason and carpenter. He was also a member of the Tallulah Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Robert V. Nelson of Dorchester, Mass.; two step-sons, George W. Motley of Arlington, Tex. and Raymond Motley of Hamilton, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
