All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Minnie Nelson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 5, 1953 Funeral Services Are Held Sunday For Mrs. Nelson Mrs. Minnie Nelson, 73, died last Friday afternoon, after a long illness, at the home of her daughter. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p. m. at the Willow Bayou Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Williams, assisted by Rev. Will Jones, officiating. Interment followed at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lottie Simmons, Tallulah; one son, Herman Nelson, Alabama; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Bonds, Alabama; one brother, Oscar Edwards, Atlanta; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were John W. Moseley, Bobby Allen, H .S. Keyes, John Hill, Robert Spells and Marvin Ingram.
