Nicholas - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 5, 1988 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary V. Nicholas, 82, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Mellveene officiating. Burial was in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery. Mrs. Nicholas died Thursday night in the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Oklahoma and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past five years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crockett Point Baptist Church in Crowville. Survivors include one son, John E. Nicholas of Tallulah; one brother, Pete Redding of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Martha Walker of Grayson; one grandson. Pallbearers were J.R. Gibbs, Kenneth Simms, Ray Goings, Jerry Beavers, Kenneth Lewis and John Lowrey.
