All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Betty Jean Oldham - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 12, 1955 MISS BETTY JEAN OLDHAM Miss Betty Jean Oldham, 26, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Wyatt Wiggins in the Willow Bayou community near here, Thursday at 8:15 after a lingering illness. She was a native of Monroe and made her home in Madison Parish for a number of years. She was a member of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. Friday at the Willow Bayou Baptist Church with the Rev. E. D. Smith, pastor officiating, assisted by the Rev. Clyde Williams, pastor of the Kedson Baptist Church at Amite, La. The body remained at Young's Funeral Home until time for services. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Tolbert Williams, Hoyt Lee, Clayton Cox, Eugene Mayberry, Benny Lisonbee and Bobby Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers were all friends of the family. Miss Oldham is survived by her parents; two brothers, William C. Oldham of Tallulah, and Waddell Oldham, with the Air Force in Alexandria, La.; two half sisters, Bertha Nann and Sandra Lea Wiggins, both of Tallulah; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Parker, of Tallulah.
